All the products shown here are samples of my current designs. To order your correct size and color choices, email me or call and I'll be happy to discuss yarns and time frame to complete it. The sizes that are printed below the sweaters are the actual size of the piece. Kids go to size 8, with largers sizes avaiable at an additional cost. Alot of times, customers find a design on the childrens page that they want for themselves, or from the adult page that they want for their kids... no problem... it's all in the measurements, and I'll tell you how to do it! The easiest way is to lie a perfect fitting garment on the floor, and take it key numbers, which are: shoulder to shoulder, across the top. Across the chest area, comfortably under the arm pit( for women, generally at the bra line). From the armpit to the natual waistline. From the top of shoulder, to how long you'd like it, say the hip. Now, from the top of the shoulder to wrist, and finally, from (comfortable) armpit to wrist. That's it, easy isn't it! A customer from the windy city, sent me one of his favorite sweaters for me to get the actual measurements of his favorite, and that worked out great! And if you want to do that, I'll pay for the shipping. Every body has it's unique shape and size, whether it's short arms and large chest, short waisted, long waisted, no shoulders but full hips, the list goes on, and still, with the key numbers, it's no problem! My queen of the knitting world is Elizabeth Zimmerman, and from her book, Knitting without Fear, she taught me all about the "key numbers", and being a lefty, having no fear!
Going to yarn companies web-sites to see color choices is sometimes hard because the colors don't always show true. I'd be happy to send you swatches of the actual yarn we'd be using so you could get a real feel for it. As for the buttons, I use mostly are from JHB International, and hunt, push and shove at any and all yard sales and shops! New this year are hand made buttons from Martha Sunderland, a wonderful woodworker that I met this year at a farmers market, and she keeps coming up with these unique buttons from woods she has on her land. Oak, Lilac branch, that has a wonderful purple swirl center, Birch, Spruce, and my new favorite, deer antler, found in the woods from deer sheds! They're so cool, strong, and a real conversation peice.
International sales are cashiers check or money order only.
